Individuals

Understanding how our minds and bodies work and developing emotional resilience are foundations for our health, happiness and relationships.

In today’s world, people are searching for ways to manage the increasing demands and difficulties of a fast-paced life and work.

The Lovely Messy Humans Method is a science-based approach which combines coaching and mentoring with neuroscience-based techniques to foster self-awareness, growth and well-being.

How we can work together…

  • 1:1 sessions – online or in Brighton

What if it were possible to change your experience? Your brain and body are designed to evolve throughout your life and you have the power to influence this. You can develop your nervous system, heal from trauma, shift your beliefs and create new thought patterns from which to create your experience.

As a certified Resilience Coach and Havening Techniques practitioner, I create the safety and space for you to face and address the messy parts of life that are holding you back. This may include using psychosensory Havening Techniques with each session tailored to your specific needs.

  • Bespoke programmes

In some cases, you might benefit from a longer, more intensive half- or whole-day session. We can discuss this - please book a discovery call if you are interested.

We are also working on options for group resilience coaching and using Havening Techniques for emotional regulation - watch this space!

Testimonials

  • "I know from my own experience and from working with hundreds of others that we spend our lives avoiding feeling things because we have mistakenly acquired an understanding that feelings are 'dangerous'. What Beth invites you to do is explore feelings in a slow, safe and loving way and to allow things that have been buried for years to be felt, allowed, processed and let go of."

  • "Beth is incredible at what she does. Within minutes of talking to her she knows what to invite you to explore. Every time I have felt safe, heard, held and loved, and have been able to experience emotions I never knew were there."

FAQs

  • Coaching and mentoring place the emphasis on solutions rather than focusing on a specific problem. A coach helps to identify desired outcomes and provides support, guidance and feedback to achieve them. A mentor listens, supports and shares their own knowledge and personal experience.

  • Yes, therapy deals with diagnosing and treating mental health issues and coaching is not a substitute for therapy. Therapy involves working with a licensed mental health professional to address psychological issues, emotional challenges and mental health conditions.

  • The first session is usually an introductory meeting where we discuss your ideal outcomes, challenges, and expectations. It's an opportunity to see if we are a good fit and to outline a potential coaching and mentoring plan.

The session will include an overview of how Havening works and the science behind it.

We will then agree work that will be undertaken during the session, ending with a short check-in and discussion of next steps.

  • Absolutely. All information shared during coaching sessions is kept confidential, adhering to professional ethical standards. One of the benefits of Havening Techniques is that it is possible to work content free, meaning you do not have to disclose all the details of what you want to work on.

  • Havening is a psychosensory method anddoes not replace treatment by a medical practitioner.

Havening Techniques may be usefully applied alongside working with a qualified therapist.. Your therapist should always be consulted - you will be required to provide confirmation of this before we work together.

I offer services solely as a coach and Havening Techniques practitioner and our relationship is not to be construed as psychotherapy, psychological counseling, or any type of therapy.

I am not qualified to coach any person diagnosed as having a psychotic illness such as bipolar disorder, epilepsy or schizophrenia.

  • Generally clients experience positive outcomes and report resolution of the specific concerns within a single session. Clinical reports show no additional side-effects when the approach is used appropriately, but in some cases, when working on past trauma, it is possible to experience emotional distress and/or physical discomfort that can be perceived as negative. This is why we will always work at a pace that feels safe, comfortable and that reflects your current level of resilience.

  • Our rates vary depending on the type of coaching and the length of the engagement.

An introductory session generally costs £120 for 1 hour 30 minutes with subsequent sessions costing £80 for 50 minutes.

Please get in touch if you would like to discuss packages or day-long intensives.
